Eco-Friendly Fabric Choices

Sustainable & Eco-Friendly Fabrics
We're very proud of the part we play in the fashion eco-system, purchasing fabrics directly from designers to sell to our customers and avoid excess wastage or fabrics sitting around, eventually ending up in landfill.
To further our passion for sustainable fashion, we are always looking for fabrics that have been sustainably made or recycle other materials to give them new life.
You may have seen some of these on our website before - we now have a dedicated category to all things organic, sustainable & recycled, to make it easier for people to make informed fabric decisions.
Vita Xtra Life LYCRA®
This fabric gives a 'double whammy' approach to sustainable fabrics.
For starters, the Polyester or Nylon is 100% recycled, made from post consumer products, so it's already had one or more lives before it reaches you. In addition to that, the Xtra Life Lycra resists breakdown 5 times longer than a standard lycra, meaning that your swimsuit, garment or accessory will last longer before it's time to replace.
This fabric is suitable for active wear and swim wear.
Sustainable REPREVE® Recycled Polyester
Repreve turns plastic bottles and other materials into fabulous fabrics!
Since 2009, REPREVE has transformed more than 4 billion plastic bottles into fibres used in their fabrics.
Not only is this fabric great for the environement, it's also quick drying and breathable, making it perfect for sport, dance, active wear and for anyone working up a sweat. With UFP rating 50+ it's also great for outdoor activities and swimwear.
Organic Cotton & Organic Jerseys
Organic cotton refers to cotton that has been grown free from genetic modification or synthetic chemicals, such as fertilizers and pesticides, and has remained chemical free throughout the manufacturing process.
Organic jerseys are great for tops, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, children's and baby wear and depending on the weight they may also be good for dresses & shorts.
We recommend sourcing an organic laundry detergent to continue to keep this fabric chemical free.
Bamboo is a biodegrable fabric that will break down in soil and sunlight over time without causing any harmful pollutants as it breaks down.
Recycled Bamboo has been made from recycled bamboo, such as that used in construction or products, off cuts, rather than having been harvested specifically for the purpose of fabric.
